About CHF

The 17th China Horse Fair (CHF) will take place from September 16–18, 2026, and will be co-located with one of China’s leading cross-border e-commerce trade exhibitions. The event will gather high-quality exhibitors from China and around the world and is expected to attract over 100,000 targeted professional visitors. By integrating specialized equestrian industry resources with global cross-border trade networks, CHF will create a two-way business platform that empowers both domestic and international markets. It will help Chinese equestrian brands expand into overseas markets while introducing advanced international equestrian equipment, breeding technologies, and operational expertise to China. Through this two-way exchange, CHF aims to strengthen global trade connectivity and accelerate the internationalization of China’s horse industry.

Strong growth and development predicted for China’s equestrian market

Despite the major disruption caused by the Covid pandemic, China’s equestrian market demonstrated remarkable resilience and is once again poised for a period of exciting growth and development as the sector attracts new investment making it more accessible to a much wider audience.

China’s strong economic performance over recent decades has created a large and aspirational middle class who have both the disposable income and time to invest in new sports and leisure activities. The country’s professional horse sports and leisure industry is directly benefiting from this trend.

In addition, given the country’s longstanding equine heritage, the active support from national and regional governments, its increasingly high-profile and sophisticated image and its undoubted physical and mental health benefits for all participants, the outlook for the equestrian sector is very positive indeed.
